This should at the very least be done for the beta; I've put your bug on
the beta blocker list
2. remove PackageKit from kde live images and still use pup/pirut
This would not be my preference since if the testing is positive, pirut
is probably not going to be shipped in Fedora 9. Spending resources on
two different implementations of the same thing just means that neither
is as good as it could be.
3. use smart instead
This seems even more subpar given that we don't use it for anything else
