Hey!

This link:  https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_create_a_GNU_Hello_RPM_packagen  doesn't work. It returns a message saying there is no text. :-(

Thanks, Sylvia

To be honest I looked at wikis and so, but I'm still rather confused, I don't know really where or how to start. Why do I want to start packaging?  Well, I want to keep contributing to Fedora but more into development. As I know programming languages but I'm not too experienced I think starting with packaging and/or maintaining something small will fit better my skills.
Your approach  (offering a link in Gnome Software when a program is missing) would be great, I think.
The ultimate article describing packaging is https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_create_an_RPM_package . It is very comprehensive, at a risk of being overwhelming.
I felt a smaller, more digestible hands-on project would be a good introduction to packaging. It's like a self-paced lab that you can do on your own computer in few hours:

I hope you like it, and if you do, perhaps I could persuade you to help me update it: I thought adding an internationalization support would be a nice follow-on, and perhaps a section on using fedpkg and Fedora infrastructure.
