....so it can't handle them. Seth, you seem to be deliberately muddying
the issue, just as with the red herring 'closed source' thing. I chose
acroread 7 as an example of a package with dependencies on a library
which is absent from a later version of Core. Whether you can get the
source or not is entirely irrelevant.
Getting back to the point you were deviating from -- apparently the
intention is that anaconda _will_ be able to handle such out-of-Core
dependencies in FC5, which is why so many people are suggesting that the
package-killing spree be postponed until FC5.
