if you replace stable with LTS
Ubuntu LTS in about 5 years lifetime. Other releases have a lifetime
of 18mo.

This will make a stable release every 1.5 year. It will be
complicated to mix with a lifetime of 2 years.
And extend the lifetime to 3 years is not a good solution (and will
be refused anyway).
