lists, this is a good way to start. I have to just remind everyone here that there are
plenty of smart people willing to get started with open source who have no experience with
mailing lists and IRC, where a forum with usability and structure really provides some
initial help that shouldn't be underestimated.

My personal opinion: mailing list/pagure tracker would be more for development
discussions and announcements and discourse would be more for user questions.
