I currently have no way of checking my
ink level (for a epson printer) in FC3
without compiling and installing other
programs such as epsutil. Surly an
enterprise class distribution such as
FC3 should have some kind of ink
monitor in the main distribution.

Maybe it could be built into the CUPS
dialog or even in the printer tools.
I remember that RH9 had something in
the base install of KDE to do this
(in the printer setup), but I don’t
want to install and load KDE just to
check my ink levels.

Is anything being worked on currently
for this? Is it something that should
be linked with HAL?
