Your laptop probably has an ambient light sensor, and the screen brightness gets
autoadjusted based on its reading; either that, or Fedora is restoring the saved display
brightness setting.
Your keyboard must have an ACPI keystroke combination that adjusts screen brightness,
and/or ambient light sensor on/off.
Linux doesn't work with ambient light sensors.
What model graphics card and laptop do you have? This same issue affects my ati gpu on my
laptop. Its likely a kernel regression.
