First possible explanation is that here it is some kind of mistake ("s*t happens .. sometimes" 😀).

Other people already mention that CentOS is using own git so theoretically only by this it should be no CentOS %ifings.
Simple I don't see any reason to introduce %{centos} as CentOS must be by definition free RHEL deriv.
Logic says that only %{rhel} or even better %{el6}, %{el7} (and so on) should be in use.

As long as we are talking not few hundreds but only few specs it will be not a big deal to *verify* all left specs "manually" .. one by one (even contacting with people which made exact commits).
If you want to take care of this small part .. feel free 😀
