I think that's a great and courageous statement to make. The reason
we're giving away this plug-in, legally, is because we feel users and
distributions should be given the choice to allow their users to migrate
from closed to open formats.
Not to mention there are very few portable players that support ogg.
Support for mp3 in portable players is everywhere.
I'm very excited about this - it would be really nice if Red Hat was
able to purchase a distribution license - assuming that there would be
no issues of third parties continuing to distribute official (sha1sum
matching) iso's.
