Depends what you're recovering from. If it's the "I'm an idiot and
the /lib/libc.so.6 link" problem, having sln is quicker and just as safe
as rescue mode. Not that I've ever done that, of course...
Side question: Is rpm compiled statically? *checks* ... nope. If
anything is going to remain statically compiled on the system, I'd say
package management tools would be good candidates too, for this very reason.
