Cassandra package looking for human power

Hello Fedora developers and maintainers, Apache Cassandra is a free and open-source distributed NoSQL database written in Java, we have a package since Fedora 27, I am a maintainer for about a year with a help of Augusto Caringi, but currently we dont have enought capacity to keep it up-to-date. State in Fedora: - older Cassandra version 3.11.1 with backported fix for CVE-2018-8016 from 3.11.2 - generally working, no issues in Bugzilla - 2 main packages are cassandra(client tools) and cassandra-server(database server) - removed Thrift interface We also have docker container[1], software collection[2] and tests[3]. Current goal is to update Cassandra to 3.11.3 version. This is not that easy because of Thrift API, there are 2 ways: 1. rebase patch which removes Thrift interface, it is not trivial, the patch is quite big and touch almost everything 2. package missing dependencies for Thrift interface Nice to have: - dnf module - SELinux policy If you have any questions or you are interested, do not hessitate to contact me. [Test-Announce] Proposal to CANCEL: 2018-11-05 Fedora QA Meeting

Hi folks! (Yep, I'm back from vacation). I'm proposing we cancel the QA meeting tomorrow. Thanks to everyone for the great job in getting Fedora 29 released last week! As that's done, and there's no other pressing business I'm aware of, I figured we all deserve a break :) There are currently several issues with Rawhide - composes are broken, and the last few composes that completed had a major bug (anaconda wouldn't start). There's work in progress on all of those issues, so hopefully we'll get some working composes next week, and the first Fedora 30 validation event. If anyone's concerned about how the Big News affects us - well, so far the answer is "it's kinda too soon to know anything for sure, but for the immediate future, not at all". Who knows whether anything will change in the long term, but so far we've had no indication anything is changing wrt Fedora or Fedora QA in the short to medium term. We can certainly talk about it more at next week's meeting, but to be honest, that's all the information we have for now. Enabling powerline theme system wide by default

It will be nice to enable powerline theme by default system and user wide. Simple reason is refresh the look of terminal while also providing useful information especially for git branch. Since powerline does not impact the performance, it will be great to set for Fedora 30. Comments welcome. Luya

Need assistance to build LuxCoreRender

LuxRender is dead, long live LuxCoreRender. I attempt to build LuxCoreRender in rpm format. Unfortunately, issue like unable to detect boost despite its presence forcing to use static version. I include the spec file for preview and would some pointers. Thanks in advance. Luya
