copr epel-7-ppc64?
by Orion Poplawski
Is there any chance of being able to do epel-7-ppc64 copr builds anytime
in the near future? I'd to test if a particular fix to gcc will fix an
ICE I'm seeing while compiling eigen3. copr seems to be the only tool
that could be available to me to do so, but alas no epel-7-ppc64 target
at the moment.
Thanks,
Orion

Hopefully my reply works this time, this is a little akward on my phone.
Speaking from experience, any new users to Fedora are really not going to know what an fs is, let alone which one would be best to pick. IMHO it really only confuses new people and would not really make them want to stick around long enough to figure out what an fs is all about. The "advanced setting/manual partioning" is something that tells the new guy there should probably be a little more study or thought put into what they are doing. I believe that would be the place to give someone an option, not default settings on a guided path.

Empathy takes over Polari
by Andreas Tunek
Hi list
Everytime I try to start Polari Empathy's IRC client takes over (and
shuts down Polari). Is this a reported bug, and if so, in which
package (Polari or empathy)?

fedpkg build failing (due to NSS?)
by Nikos Mavrogiannopoulos
Hello,
I'm trying to make an update for #1071795 using 'fedpkg build' for
gnutls fails consistently for f20 and rawhide with the error:
"BuildrootError: could not init mock buildroot, mock exited with status
30; see root.log for more information"
Although it says see root.log, I don't see anything suspicious there:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=6589108
mock_output.log shows:
There is no installed groups file.
Maybe run: yum groups mark convert (see man yum)
Error: Package: nss-3.15.5-1.fc20.armv7hl (build)
Requires: nss-util >= 3.15.5
Installing: nss-util-3.15.4-1.fc20.armv7hl (build)
nss-util = 3.15.4-1.fc20
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
Error: Package: nss-3.15.5-1.fc20.armv7hl (build)
Requires: nss-softokn(armv7hl-32) >= 3.15.5
Installing: nss-softokn-3.15.4-1.fc20.armv7hl (build)
nss-softokn(armv7hl-32) = 3.15.4-1.fc20
Error: Package: nss-3.15.5-1.fc20.armv7hl (build)
Requires: nss-softokn(armv7hl-32) >= 3.15.5
Available: nss-softokn-3.15.4-1.fc20.armv7hl (build)
nss-softokn(armv7hl-32) = 3.15.4-1.fc20
Is there something missing from the nss package dependencies?
regards,
Nikos

Hi,
I'm back.

Sadly enough, I haven't changed jobs, yet.
I can't dwell upon this topic on a public list (some fellow fedoristas know
my situation), but I'm in deep shit.
I'm still looking for either a developer or technical evangelist position
preferably in the cloud area,
but due to personal circumstances, I have one major constraint: being
home-based (travelling is not an issue).
Well, I'm also a FOSS & Fedora BAKA (idiot, passionate, whatever) which
also doesn't help at all.
@everyone: if by knowing that, you may be interested in considering me for
a position, feel free to contact me:

Thanks, I appreciate your kindness.
The same goes for all my Fedora Friends who are helping me to go through
these tough days :)
best regards,
H.
