Yes, my bad the kernel package name of the base image has changed, so the
exclude I'm adding to yum.conf no longer works with F-19.
You can still use yum update like this:
yum update --exclude=kernel*
It looks like there are some other issues with release 2 too, so I will likely
do a release 3 including a fix for this.
I upgraded to F19 recently. And I happened to look at the output of iptables(8) today.

DNS is allowed in the internal network(chain IN_internal_allow). I
guess IN_internal_allow is meant for some closed group internal
network, not sure.

I looked at the firewall configuration GUI tool. That's even more
baffling. On the left hand side, it lists zones: home, internal, public,
work etc. without any explanation whatsoever what each one is suppose
to do. It also has a default zone which is 'public'. I guess that must
be the running firewall configuration. So even if I'm at work or at
home, I'm using firewall configuration that is meant for public network,
am I? Besides, who is going to switch between these zones everyday from
home to work to home again?
I think for individual users, which
is majority of the users, this is a stupid firewall. It doesn't have to
be so complicated that even if one tries to understand it, he/she can

I did mock builds of several clients packages of nss (e.g. curl,
evolution-data-server, xulrunner, etc.) agains the update and their
builds, which run their test regressions suites, completed fine.

It's GNU's 30th birthday today, so I thought I'd upload a relevant
side project of mine: a package to cross-compile a GNU (Hurd)
operating system using Fedora.
No pre-compiled binaries are provided; everything is built from
(mostly) unpatched upstream sources. There are two main components to
the build process.
First: The Fedora development environment (sysroot and cross-tools)
is maintained in RPMs. Bootstrap the environment with the

stable Hurd system is your goal.)
