Is it just me, or does the Fedora download server and the mirrors have
double versions of packages instead of the older one being deleted?

- Added XFree86-4.3.0-build-libXinerama-before-libGL-for-via-driver.patch
because the via DRI driver links against libXinerama, and seems to be the

failure generating bootdisk.img: kernel-BOOT is too big
by Rodrigo Parra Novo
Greetings,
while making changes on Fedora Core 1, I needed to recompile the
kernel-* packages, to change a few drivers, needed by a customer of
mine.
But when I attempt to create the installation bootdisk (so my
customer can install Fedora with the new drivers), upd-instroot bombs
saying there is no enough space on bootdisk.img.
Checking all changes I've made, I noted that my new kernel-BOOT has a
vmlinuz which is about 8KB bigger than the older one.
So here is my question: anyone knows a few safe switches I can
disable on the kernel-BOOT build, to regain this extra space used by the
new drivers? (this space must be taken from stuff in the kernel itself,
not modules)
Thanks in advance,
Rodrigo

That should not be necessary if I am not doing RAID/LVM, right? Firewire
initialization takes place after LVM, so it should work.
If I have the drive turned on at boot time, kudzu takes a long time to

the problem is probably not specific to ieee1394, actually, since I get
similar errors connecting the drive to USB. Not to mention the drive
geometry appears different too (under 2.4 fdisk reports one extra
cylinder for USB2 if I recall correctly, and I had to take care not to
allocate it to a partition).
rmmod-ing sbp2 after those errors results consistently in segfaults,
here's the dump:

Any idea? Should I bugzilla this, and perhaps forward it to linux1394

Going to try a newer kernel first, but before that, resize my Windows

I just sent an email to fedora-devel-list and got back this
autoresponder.
I fear that if people like this are permitted to have such broken
mail configurations, that people wont want to post to the list.
I know I don't want to get back autoresponders just for posting
to the list, and I'd prefer to unsubscribe than to get such
nonsense back. Are other people getting this garbage?
Perhaps we should remove this person from the list until they
correct their broken email configuration?
