I've a version of TopIconsPlus which works with 3.30 here:

https://github.com/jwrdegoede/TopIcons-plus/tree/gnome-3-30

To use this git clone it and then add a symlink named "~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/TopIcons@huttli"
pointed to the clone (and remove the old version from "~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions").

Thanks! I see that the original author (phocean) who is linked from extensions.gnome.org marked his version as unmaintained, and there are several forks (yours and huttli's) that should be working. Could somebody replace the non-working extension on extensions.gnome.org with one of these forks (of course if you or huttli are OK with it)?
