Is there a problem with it?

We already have branding in GRUB,

Someone recently mentioned an anecdote where a user just installed
Fedora and thought the rescue kernel boot entry meant it had been

in plymouth,
This is arguably the biggest wart on the distribution right now: our
boot splash looks very poor compared to the plain spinner theme. Is
poor branding worse than no branding? It's possible to make a great
branded bootsplash -- just look at elementary OS -- but I think we'd be
better off with the spinner than what we have right now.
On the bright side, we have come a long way for these to be my primary
concerns. :)
