Issues with HP mini and F27 Workstation
by Silvia Sánchez
Hello everyone,
I have a small HP notebook and I thought of installing Fedora 27
Workstation on it. I tried it live but it turned out that all input are
off or frozen. No touchpad, mouse, trackpad or keyboard will get a
response from the system as soon as it loads Gnome Shell.
It had Manjaro installed and worked fine.
I tried Fedora 25 and worked fine so I installed it and updated it. I'm
going to upgrade to 26 and then 27 and see if breaks at some moment.
My questions are:
1) Is this a known issue?
2) Where should report this?
Well, that's all for now.
Kind regards,
Silvia

fedora-workstation-repositories not installed by default?
by Elad Alfassa
Hi,
I've noticed that
1) fedora-workstation-repositories is not installed by default on F27
2) After installing this package, there's no indication it's there in the
gnome-software UI (even after killing the process and running pkcon refresh)
My understanding is that this is supposed to enable user to install 3rd
party stuff easily, currently just PyCharm or Google Chrome, and that
gnome-software is supposed to display these (when the package is installed)
and allow the user to install them with just a click (warning them that
this is 3rd party software not supported by Fedora).
Did I understand the feature correctly?
Is the reason it's not installed by default is because the UI doesn't know
how to deal with it, or is this a bug?
Thanks,
