For FUDcon Pune 2011, I am planning the tshirt design.
I am thinking of following design.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/File:Fudcon-india-tshirt-1-design.png
The front view use the event logo as already set on the middle of the t shirt, at the back as it is shown a henna design will lead towards the left side, top to bottom. The henna design should be drawn, is there any ideas of the henna pattern.
Please improve my thoughts, ideas welcome.

We discussed this design in the meeting today. We agreed that the front of the shirt looks great, but we are a bit confused about the henna pattern on the back.
Probably the henna pattern should not have a rectangular background (it looks yellow in your mockup?) and the henna pattern itself should probably be the fudcon blue color rather than black.
Do you have any higher resolution versions of the henna design?

Hello,
I want able to attend to the design team meeting, it s 11:30 PM in Sri Lanka.
Then the mock-up design is shown where the henna patter goes. As I mentioned I have to design the henna pattern I have showed the place it fits. In back side the henna pattern goes top to bottom. The yellow box is a place holder that is all.
I just show where the henna design goes, I thought of placing the design like that.
Sorry it is confusing :).
I need your inputs to draw a henna pattern so pls help, tatica is already in, thanks.

Sorry to say this but we need a complete different design on the T-shirt and without any henna kind of pattern. May be you can look into the other conference T-shirt designs.

Any particular reason?
Price? something?
Note: I'm ok with change, but would like to know why

People never liked it (from the face to face meeting).

Hello.
I had a talk with Kushal yesterday and we agree to keep the logo with the henna pattern, but make some changes to the rest of our artwork. So this are some sugestions I will be working on and if anyone is interested just jump :)
1.- Remove the henna pattern from the poster/banner design (corners mostly) 2.- Use at t-shirts the full logo (with henna pattern) but change back design 3.- Do de rest of the artwork requirements (such as web banners, icons and signal posters using no henna pattern)
Ideas?
I understood the reason :).
Anyway as we can go with the round logo I use it in the front.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-lUuoRtbINS4/TjlNo2ote5I/AAAAAAAAAPo/T2fdr...
I worked with design and hope it is ok even though it was design earlier.
Then at the back I choose the event place building from the poster.
The picture should be recreated if it is selected in more meaningful manner this is just an idea.
I am also thinking of a design with fedora balloons, will upload the design soon.
ideas?

I think we can give a try to the building, but don't know if that photo will work (since has too many details and can be a problem at print time)
I got this link (don't remember if was you or tuxna) but I guess if we want to try with buildings those are easier shapes:
http://coepmagazine.wordpress.com/2011/05/09/abhiyanta-2011-radiance/
This is a clear photo we can create a vector to illustrate the shape of the building, what you think tatica? I think that would be nice, like the FUDcon Milan 2011 event logo.

Is a building really a compelling graphic to make a cool-looking T-shirt, though?

I prefer a patter or design. as there we are not using henna design, we can design a nice design like Tampe tshirt.
Ideas????

Does anybody know someone from Pune we could talk to, so we could get some ideas for patterns or designs of appropriate cultural significance we could integrate into the design?
If we can't come up with something similar to Tempe, though, it's not the end of the world. Some other ideas:
- Come up with a cool slogan for the conference (for example, FOSS.in has the slogan 'Show me the code!') and create a type design for the back of the shirt using it
- Create a tag cloud of some of the topics that will be presented (list is here: (https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FUDCon:Pune_2011#Sessions)
- Create a tag cloud of the registrants or even their hackergotchis (it would be cool to have a T-shirt with your name on it right?) (https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FUDCon:Pune_2011#Pre-registration)
- Create a freedom | features | friends | first slogan
- Pandas. Pandas are always good in a pinch.

tatica meant the designs who was made for http://conf.kde.in
they had a nice flower shaped K design there with some leaves in the colors of india
http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQesr-8XsEbBDmR63AzMzZ08urvOASFogGCi...
its the only one what I found in short time.
All proposals was on whit shirts, so I guess they like to have a white one and when we can use 4 colors would be definitly a good looking shirt. I would use ur blue, the orange and green that would be also the colors of the indian flag then. Think some bubbles can be arraned so that it look like some flowers.

That sounds like a fantastic idea. You could use the FUDcon bubbles in black, white, orange, and green and arrange them to look like flowers.

Well, while orange is good, the accurate colours in the Indian flag are:
Deep saffron/India saffron: #FF9933 White : #FFFFFF India green: #138808

Thanks.

However it is good to brainstorming and think out of the box. Then with new ideas we can do something new and related.
Therefore please suggest your ideas.
