But that's more or less what I suggested -- use the DE that fits best
the selected packages, which of course means you have to have the
package list first.

But as Matthew mentioned, the colour management
is desired for Design Suite, so we might be actually rather constrained
in the DE choice right now.

GNOME wasnt the DE who has brought CM to Linux ;) There was something before there, you also can use CM on KDE, XFCE or others.

And btw its sometimes useless if the applications are not managed ;)
