Yes, once a revised version gets made, it's easy for me to replace it in
the git repo which will update the copy on the badges site.

I had borrowed from the events badge template, but I hadn't played with a
gradient. I'll add to my list of things to do for today to tweak. nb
actually pushed the badge last night, but BrickHack isn't for a while, so
it shouldn't be that difficult of a thing to change before the event will
actually be in widespread use. I'd rather get it right than just let it sit
as is. :)
I'll reply back once I've uploaded a modified version with a gradient.
