I think when we selecting color we should think twice.

simplicity, Coz this is a logo and using as a favicon.
The sum of colors in a logo has nothing to do with the size, I using 6 colors
in the favicon of my personal page and u still can see what it is.
Its more that u need a clear visible and memorable shape.
There is a nice video, explaining the important things and how to create a
logo. And the best we is it, to do it really only black and white. Only then
you can makes stamps with it e.g.
