Yeah, the paper cutout look is what defines material design, which is perhaps the thing I'm most proficient at.  That's why it pops up all over my desings.  Like the effect. Looks awesome.  Only reason I'm staying away from the Gimp is scalability. I'm not sure target render sizes, so I don't know exactly how big to make it.

My favorite part about your shapes is that they feel like paper cutouts. I amplified that effect somewhat above.
