I can understand that, they aren't fully open source yet but are slowly headed there bit by bit. Im glad martix is being utilized!

Would you be okay with a Design Telegram be created as sort of a means of entry into discussion using a bridge, or just not bother with it?

Hi Zach,

I'm ok with a bridge but I wouldnt rely on Telegram as a primary means to communicate because its not open source. We've been onboarding folks using riot.im which is bridged to our IRC channel.

Subject: [Design-team] Design Telegram? ( bridged to #Fedora-Design? )

Hi all,

Was just wondering, since its cross platform and become widely popular, would it make sense to make a #Fedora-Design telegram group? Ive been thinking about how many people are on telegram not to mention how all of the communication I do outside of emails and IRC is on telegram.

One benefit we might see from this is lower barrier of entry. Telegram is a lot more straightforward to join and get involved with than IRC, might get a little more discussion on active tickets going if something like that existed.

If the team were to move forward with something like this I'd volunteer to maintain the telegram side of things.

Zach
