Join us on irc.freenode.net in #fedora-meeting-1 for the Fedora 28
Beta Release Readiness Meeting meeting.
The meeting is going to be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 19:00
UTC. Please check the [1] link for your time zone.
We will meet to make sure we are coordinated and ready for the Beta
release of Fedora 28. Please note that this meeting is going to be
held even if the release is delayed at the Go/No-Go meeting on the
same day two hours earlier.
You may received this message several times, but it is by purpose to
open this meeting to the teams and to raise awareness, so hopefully
more team representatives will come to this meeting. This meeting
works best when we have representatives from all of the teams.

Re: Design Telegram? ( bridged to #Fedora-Design? )
by Máirín Duffy
Hi Zach,
I'm ok with a bridge but I wouldnt rely on Telegram as a primary means to communicate because its not open source. We've been onboarding folks using riot.im which is bridged to our IRC channel.

Hi all,
Was just wondering, since its cross platform and become widely popular, would it make sense to make a #Fedora-Design telegram group? Ive been thinking about how many people are on telegram not to mention how all of the communication I do outside of emails and IRC is on telegram.
One benefit we might see from this is lower barrier of entry. Telegram is a lot more straightforward to join and get involved with than IRC, might get a little more discussion on active tickets going if something like that existed.
If the team were to move forward with something like this I'd volunteer to maintain the telegram side of things.

Meeting Summary & new open ticket for a newbie!
by Máirín Duffy
Hi folks,
We had a design team meeting today. We talked about the F28 wallpaper
(see https://pagure.io/design/issue/566) , some concerns about Mindshare
/ Ambassadors swag designs, and a little ticket triage.
We have two new open tickets that have been triaged and are ready for
you to pick up :) One is particularly good for a newbie to pick up, so
if you're looking for a task to work on it's a good place to start:
- Find and destroy old, outdated, bad swag and marketing collateral from
the wiki
https://pagure.io/design/issue/583
-Let's bring back pandas! (sticker sheet request)
[newbie] https://pagure.io/design/issue/579
I've attached the meeting log from Riot because for some reason meetbot
didn't work.
Cheers!

Introduction
by Grace Colbert
Hi everyone!
My name is Grace and I'm from the Boston area, and I'm interested in
working with the Fedora design team community.
I am currently pursuing a BFA in Graphic Design, and so I have a strong
background in fine arts, print design, branding design, and some web
design, as well as some experience with back-end programming. I am most
interested in working on UI/UX/web design projects.
I have little experience with contributing to open source projects, so I
may need some guidance/correction, but I am very excited to begin.
Hope you all have a nice day!
Best,
Grace
