Okay. While the Ambassadors ponder over the issues presented by Vinz and Gnokii, let us trash the design oriented part amongst ourselves. Right now I see two options: A: use gnokii's/tatica's characters as exemplified by Vinz here: [1] http://vinz.fedorapeople.org/join-process/joining-intro.png [2] http://gnokii.fedorapeople.org/kids-design.png B: Use *I-don't-know-his-name*'s characters as exemplified here: [3] https://fedoraproject.org/w/uploads/5/55/Fedora-15-livemedia-64.png I was thinking in the lines of *B* but adapted to poses that can send the 'Ambassador' message. Like Characters with 'name-tags', mic, knapsacks, school-bags, laptops etc to represent different areas/levels of ambassadorial activities. I made a crude sketch of what i had in mind. We'll continue working on both - they are both progressing well - and check in next meeting to see if one seems a stronger choice than the other for default at that time. We also welcomed Ryan who is a new team member, helped him get his FAS account set up and gave him some critique on a wallpaper he is submitting to the supplementals. Welcome, Ryan! ~m

Report from EMEA ambassadors meeting 2011-07-13

Dear designers, to keep you up to date: There were two points on yesterday's EMEA ambassadors meeting regarding the design team: > * ACTION: vinzv and t2hot to ask the design-team how to improve the > "join Fedora" pages in the wiki (cwickert, 20:44:22) See other thread "Mockup: Joining process". > * ACTION: vinzv to tell the design team to no only make flyers for > letter but also A4 format (cwickert, 20:58:15) Which is - I think - a good point, because ambassadors can print those flyers on ink-jet printers without having the hassle of cutting pages by hand after printing. In EMEA area A4 format is the de-facto standard for printing, as Letter format is in the US.
