Hi suchakra,
Thanks for your help. I have similar feeling that the current logo is
not ready
for t-shirt printing. You three t-shirt designs are all good
candidates, but I have some input to make it better IMHO.

The warriors might confuse us with Xi'an.

Yes, I am also not in favor of this design anymore.

Not sure what the tiles indicate. The Great Wall or 北 as in Beijing?
Besides, I am not so favor of symbol 'kai', since it is not so
expressive
here. The word 开源 (open source) might be better, but still
not that good to me.

the tiles are just the Chinese Design pattern taken from here :

I wanted to keep the design somewhat minimalistic - hence I used that
pattern. Ok we can remove the 'kai' symbol. I am not an expert but I think
people from outside China would surely love some relevant Chinese symbol
to go along with their tees! Bring on the suggestions! :)

It is my personal choice so far, but since we decide on another logo, it
seems
unwise :(

I don't thing we need to be too democratic and vote on each and
everything. The organizers should have a final say. But thats my own
opinion. Rest is all upto you guys.

I would like to make the meaning more straightforwardly shown. Can we
have a sentence like 'I volunteer for FUDCon Beijing!', or 'I
participate
in FUDCon Beijing!' somewhere? I am OK with using color to differentiate
two types of T-shirt, but one explicit line can make it less likely to
confuse two, and bring more memorial meaning.

I think it would be good to not have too much declarative text on the
t-shirt. The idea is to let people have a t-shirt which they can use at
other events also and show off their involvement in Beijing FUDCon - it
should neither be too generic, nor too specific. We can surely have a
space where people can write their names and which can distinguish
themselves from other speakers/attendees/volunteers. For example this :

will be beneficial during the event and people can take the sticker off
after the event is over. This may also help in just having one t-shirt
design and reduce print overheads. Of course we can customize the "Hello
my name is.." sticker to whatever we want and make it more Fedora/FUDCon
specific
