Bug ID: 1911255
Summary: The blender-fonts package installs a broken version of
DroidSans
Product: Fedora
Version: 33
Status: NEW
Component: blender
Assignee: luya_tfz(a)thefinalzone.net
Reporter: bpeeluk(a)yahoo.co.uk

Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora
Description of problem:
The blender-fonts package contains droidsans.ttf which seems to be a broken
version of the Droid Sans font. This gets picked up by other applications on
the system in preference to the font installed by the google-droid-sans-fonts
package. Notably the character U+015C (Ŝ) is missing the circumflex on top of
the S. This shows up for example if you try to type a Tweet in Firefox in
Esperanto.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install the package blender-fonts
2. Start GEdit
3. Select the font “Droid Sans” from the preferences.
4. Paste in the following text “MI ŜATAS ĈAPELOJN”.
Actual results:
The Ŝ looks like S.
Expected results:
It should have a circumflex on top.
