Thanks for the response. Looking at your comments I am not sure whether I am attacking the right problem. But here is what I am seeing.

I tried rake rails:unfreeze but it is still seem frozen! See below:

[root@fedora13 src]# rake rails:unfreeze
(in /root/deltacloud/aggregator/src)
rm -rf vendor/rails
[root@fedora13 src]# rake gems

[root@fedora13 src]# gem list -d scruffy

It doesn't seem to work (same scruffy not found error) even after gem install scruffy

Ah! I see, this is the error I am getting which led me to running "rake dc:site_admin"
[root@fedora13 src]# ./script/server
Deltacloud aggregator cannot be run as root
[root@fedora13 src]# su xx
[jijo@fedora13 src]$ ./script/server

I set the chown on the root/deltacloud folder to user xx. What else is needed?

Thanks

Just FYI it's a better practice to place your replies at the bottom / after the original message, to make it easier to follow the conversation.

Regardless it seems deltacloud is still in /root, root's home directory. No other use has permissions to access this directory other than root. I would just start from scratch. Checkout a fresh copy of deltacloud in /home/xx, and then try to run the server again as the 'xx' user.

I'm not quite sure why the gems are remaining frozen after you run unfreeze. Regardless, that issue shouldn't be present in a new checkout, so I would try that before debugging the frozen gem issue further.

BTW this might be easier to debug on irc, feel free to join us on #deltacloud on Freenode.
