Hi Remy,
Please accept our apologies. Earlier today, you may have received a notification of non-acceptance for a session we did actually intend to accept.
To clarify, we look forward to hosting the following session(s) at Red Hat Summit:
- SB44549: Fedora Friends!
Sincerely,
The Red Hat Summit team ---Snip---
Add this to the pile for Good News Leap Day Monday! --RemyD.

That's great news......but what on earth is the Fedora Friends BoF?????
The only reference to it I could find in my email was the rejection notice from the council meeting notes, searching for "Fedora Friends" resulted in surprisingly many hits, but the first page of it in my gmail account goes back to 2008. So not a particularly common combination of words, but not unheard of.
However, from a glance of subject lines, none of them had anything to do with the Summit :).

It is the short name for the Fedora Birds of a Feather session at Red Hat Summit.

I figured that much out :). I guess I was wondering more if there was a particular plan for it :)

Typically (in my experience) a BoF is usually a quasi-formal small-to-medium sized gathering. A convenor brings together the group, sometimes does a round of introductions (depending on size), gives a brief presentation, and then possibly facilitates a discussion and/or Q&A. I would consider having lightning talks too, depending on how much time is available, and willingness of presenters ahead of time and day-of. It is my understanding that the BoF's will take place during lunch, so we will decide if the provided food will suffice, of if we want to spend for something different/convenient.
I just got the email a few hours ago, and have not held planning meetings with project leadership or OSAS yet ;)
If you will be at Summit, and would like to be involved, suggestions are certainly welcome. The formality of the BoF will be impacted by who shows up from the project and is willing to contribute.
