Typically (in my experience) a BoF is usually a quasi-formal small-to-medium sized gathering. A convenor brings together the group, sometimes does a round of introductions (depending on size), gives a brief presentation, and then possibly facilitates a discussion and/or Q&A. I would consider having lightning talks too, depending on how much time is available, and willingness of presenters ahead of time and day-of. It is my understanding that the BoF's will take place during lunch, so we will decide if the provided food will suffice, of if we want to spend for something different/convenient.

I just got the email a few hours ago, and have not held planning meetings with project leadership or OSAS yet ;)

If you will be at Summit, and would like to be involved, suggestions are certainly welcome. The formality of the BoF will be impacted by who shows up from the project and is willing to contribute.
