Neat, thanks for considering it! Full speed ahead! BTW if the DCO fork
has too much verbiage then perhaps it can be shortened, and this has
me thinking too -- if perhaps we need a mailing list for the DCO's
advancement / changes, and if this is all related if we can just use
one mailing list for both.
If it is of interest, I've made a while ago a crayon attempt at a provision
based on a Linux kernel-type DCO [0].
The little experiment is coming from the perspective of 'removing' extra-
-licenses (i.e. CLAs), combined with a similar intention to make explicit
the inclusion of any free/open licenses (including GPL incompatible open
licenses) in the copyleft-next software, and, the intention for any covered
code (possible) to remain free/open licensed.
(probably the entire set of goals is auto-contradictory...)
I'm afraid the language is currently (very) outdated, since it's an older
branch, modified from a copyleft-next draft from before any release I
believe.
Sorry about that, I'll eventually update it.
The experiment has DCO a) and b).
Regardless of it, personally I'm not sure about including DCO point d),
it has no potential impact on licensing.
Comparing the current provision[1] in copyleft-next, with DCO a) and
b), it seems that what is "missing", is an explicit acceptance, and
default licensing, of the corresponding open/free licenses for the
modified files instead of copyleft-next only.
