Thanks, it happens to me a lot, but usually it is not problem because
we have newer versions in repo, thought that might be easy make a
script to check that, Corp db vs file system , and fix it. Which run
once per day

All gpgme builds were deleted from sergiomb/kde4for23. I still wonder
why they stayed there.

Copr problems?
by Scott Talbert
Are there known problems with Copr right now? I submitted a build yesterday and it took hours to even start running. Now, it has been "running" for 8 hours but there are not even any logs yet.

copr-dist-git outage
by Kevin Fenzi
Greetings.
This afternoon we noticed that copr-dist-git wasn't processing
correctly, nor allowing ssh access.
Looking at the console there were a large number of kernel oopses, so we
rebooted.
The instance came back up, but didn't finish booting correctly. (It was
stuck thinking it was still booting up).
We fixed up that issue, but unfortunately, the existing queue of imports
failed and was lost to us. :(
Sorry for the trouble, but it's back processing normally again now.
Please resubmit any builds you submitted in this window.

Copr and flatpaks
by David Haltinner
I just wanted to start a conversation around expanding Copr to output flatpak files using Fedora (likely others like Gnome, KDE, etc too) runtimes. As flatpak is being pushed into the world, getting ahead of the curve and helping people turn their projects into flatpaks with Copr would be a good benefit on the community side, and likely just as helpful for fedora package maintainers who will work on flatpaks in the future.
As you don't actually need to use rpms to make flatpaks, an entirely new mock plugin could be made for that purpose, if one doesn't already exist that I am unaware of. Would help to bring it into Koji as well in the future. There may be another way to just install a built rpm into a chroot and turn around and add the metadata and build-export into a flatpak repo and ignore mock altogether.
Thoughts?

COPR maintenance
by Michal Novotny
Hello,
today 11/3 there will be maintenance of copr-dist-git machine due to disk
space. The builds will be delayed until maintenance is done.
It will go on approximately from 7pm UTC to 2am UTC.
Thank you

COPR rawhide repo links
by Michal Novotny
Dear rawhide users,
if you have enabled a COPR repo in the last three months (since the
beginning of December last year till yesterday), then it points to
fedora-$releasever-$basearch. You can reenable it by using `dnf copr enable
<project>` to get .repo file pointing to actual fedora-rawhide chroot in
the given project.
Sorry for this

Random feedback from Telegram: Copr vs. AUR
by Adam Samalik
Hey guys!
Just in case you run out of ideas about making Copr even better, I just saw
this feedback on the Fedora Telegram channel comparing Fedora Copr and Arch
Linux AUR:
"...
Justing W. Flory: Fedora has a similar concept with Copr, but it's not as
widely used as AURs.
lian.rs: Copr is not quite that. Copr is more like Ubuntu PPAs, and lacks
many features such as voting, forum for each package, being able to review
the package before installing, etc, and most importantly Copr is a repo
tool, not a packaging tool. You need to know in advance the repo that
contains the software you want to install. It's not as convenient :("
As a former Arch Linux user I kind of agree. Having some voting mechanism
and maybe even the forum/discussions would be fantastic!
What do you guys think? I don't have that much time for Copr as I used to,
but, as always, I'm happy to help with UI! ;-)
Cheers!
Adam
