Hello, my name is Shane Ball (shantorn) and I have been using computers
since the age of 12 when I bought my first computer the Vic 20 with a
cassette drive way way back in 1981. I started tinkering with linux in
1994 and first tried .rpm with Red Hat 5.1 in 1997. I have used Fedora
on and off for many years now and have been involved in the irc
community for quite some time. 2.5 years ago I became disabled and have
been flailing looking for something to do and was gently nudged to look
at the Fedora community and so I am here now. I know a bit about what it
stands for in the Open Source community and I would like to become
involved in it. I read through some of the pagure tickets and found
these to be very interesting to me and felt I could help. #70 Developing
some form of Foss Student Pack for college or even high school students,
#68 the Campus Ambassador Program and #56 On board Series Ambassadors. I
hope I can apply myself to helping in these area's to start with and
that it wont be to difficult for you folks to bring me up to speed on
how operations work here in Comm Ops. I look forward to getting to know
all of you and to becoming familiar with all of this.
Thank you
Shane
