Hi.
My name is Adad Jiram Osorio Hernández and I live in Mexico City. I'm a
bachelor in Computer Systems Engineer, I just finished my university in
December 2016. I have been using Linux for personal use and academic
works since 2012. I'm interested to help the Fedora Project so I can
give back to the community, the same has gave me a lot. Also I think
that I can learn more about Linux System Administration. My first
profile is a Linux Sysadmin. I want to acquire more experience and
knowledge in the Linux world so I can be a better sysadmin.
Hi Adad! Welcome to the CommOps mailing list, and sorry for a very, very
slow response here.
Congratulations on your recent graduation! Great to know that you've
been using Linux for so long and that you want to give back to the
community. I think for many of us, this is the same way that we decided
to first contribute to the community. It was the same way for me. :)
It sounds like you're more heavily interested in the sysadmin /
infrastructure of contributing. Did you know about the Fedora
Infrastructure team? The Infrastructure team is the sub-project that
helps with all of the sysadmin / technical sides of managing Fedora's
vast infrastructure of applications and services.
They also have an apprenticeship program, where you can sign up to
receive read-only access to some parts of the Infrastructure and work on
some starter tasks to figure out what you might want to work on more or
play around with. There's plenty of ways to get involved with this side
of the community. :) Here are some links that you might find helpful to
learn more about Fedora Infrastructure:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Infrastructure
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Infrastructure_Apprentice
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/admin/lists/infrastructure%40lists.fedora...

Hopefully this is helpful for you to find a way to contribute.
Definitely check out the apprenticeship program, as I think you might
find that interesting. :)
Thanks for introducing yourself on the list and for waiting for so long
for a response. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate
to reach out or ask us, we're more than willing to help. :)
