Hey CommOpsers!
Nothing formal this time – I saw this article on Opensource.com about new research on open source governance models and wanted to share it.
https://opensource.com/open-organization/18/4/new-governance-model-research
The study compared the following four criteria against the governance models in each project:
1. Basic activity metrics 2. Collaboration metrics 3. Documentation 4. Labels (i.e. effective triage)
The study does not assert a conclusion, but it comparing against a previous version of the same study done in 2016. It's interesting to note the shift in what some of the largest projects out there are doing.
I thought some of you all might dig this too. :-)
