Can this mailing list have a Subject line prefix like “[cobbler]” so that I may be able organize by mail?

Just filter by list-id?

I don't think gmail can do that (at least not manually) - you appear to use it, so please feel free to correct me on that.
the 'to' address would work, though, surely?

Yep, gmail totally can filter by list id.
On any given message, just click "More > Filter Messages Like These"
You will see that the filter gmail adds is just:
list:(cobbler.lists.fedorahosted.org)
Which is paying attention to the List-Id header.

Yep, gmail totally can filter by list id.
Not all of us use gmail, though...
list:(cobbler.lists.fedorahosted.org)
Which is paying attention to the List-Id header.
Nice as that is, not every email client can do that sort of filtering.
I, for one, would prefer a subject line prefix.

Thank you much.
Would it be to much if I requested for the prefix to have brackets around them? It will just make it easier to see and parse.

Thanks. I was trying to avoid that in my Outlook as I have reached the max on creating rules by list id. This is why I had resorted to Subject Line filtering. Besides, it is a lot easier to tell which mailing list sent the email.

I second the subject line prefix request. Simplifies email management both on yahoo web, and in outlook when viewing the inbox. R, -Joe

Use the List-Id header instead. Even gmail understands that. :)
