As per some of our discussions several weeks ago I think a --drive-layout option would be very useful. It would allow drive layouts to be created and used across profiles, and expose them to view (as opposed to those written into snippets) with the usual reporting mechanisms. I don't see this as replacing snippet based disk layout, but augmenting it.
Possible options/syntax/etc....
--drive-layout=name --breed=[lvm,partition] default to lvm with lvm, use VolGroup00, LogVolxx as per anaconda --ondisk default to hda, sda --swap=[recommended,Megs] --mount0=[mount point, must start with slash] --size=[minimum megs] --grow --ondisk override global above
thoughts?
