Thanks Russell, I think this makes sense. I launched my VM with Horizon, and I don't
see any key pairs in my DB:
[root@devstack-fedora devstack]# nova --username admin keypair-list

Any ideas?
Unfortunately not ... I never use horizon. Hopefully someone else can
speak up on that.
In the meantime you could try just creating a keypair and launching the
instance from the CLI.
