This will change in Fedora 17 because it will be possible to use
OpenStack using Qpid instead of RabbitMQ. See:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/OpenStack_using_Qpid
Russell and Pádraig are in the process of updating the Fedora 17
packages to the version of Essex which supports Qpid, so perhaps you
might be able to try out those packages?
Thank you for this information, i would be glad to test those packages because it seems
both Aeolus and OpenStack would benefit from an integration together and so should avoid
conflicts.
Do you plan a Fedora 17 Test Day for OpenStack Essex ?
If you're feeling brave, you can install this qpid supporting
version to Fedora 16. I ran through the Fedora 16 test day
with these (albeit with rabbitmq), so they should be in reasonably
good shape.
python-novaclient
After installing you need to run:
openstack-nova-db-setup
(cd /var/lib/nova/CA && ./genrootca.sh)
Also to test qpid you'll need to add this to /etc/nova/nova.conf
--rpc_backend=nova.rpc.impl_qpid
For other qpid config params see:
