This package is all about the virtual console. However, the virtual
console
doesn't seem to outright break without it, for cases like OpenStack or local
libvirt where a console might actually be available. We save a very exciting
4.5MB on disk if we don't install this. Any strong opinions?
If a console configuration is written to the disk (or passed on the boot
command line) you'll likely get warnings/errors in the journal from systemd
about being unable to set the font/keymap/etc. So you'd want to at a
minimum ensure you don't get into that situation.
