Can't make the meeting today 01/14
by Dusty Mabe
Hi all,
I can't make the meeting today. Summary for this past week is: DigitalOcean
now has Fedora 21.. woohoo.
If there was anything else I was supposed to do let me know about it.
I'll read the meeting notes.

Size of base Fedora 32 Docker image
by M. Edward (Ed) Borasky
I'm starting to build Docker images on the Fedora base and I'm a
little concerned about the size of the images. For example, the Debian
base is 85.1 MB, the Ubuntu base is 192 MB and the CentOS base is 224
MB. The Fedora base is 250.2 MB and that's *before* I install any
application code.
Is there any way I can build a smaller base? Ideally I'd like
something under 100 MB but even getting it under 200 MB would be
worthwhile.

Fedora 21 on Digital Ocean Testing
by Dusty Mabe
Hey guys/gals,
Fedora 21 is now out on Digital Ocean.. before we promote it to the
rest of the community I'd like to give you all an opportunity to test
a bit. roshi and I have already been giving it some love but it's
possible there are things that we missed.
You should be able to select the Fedora 21 image now in the DO web
interface. If you'd like a $10 credit send me a message in
#fedora-cloud.

F21 base AMIs available in both HVM and PV, plus smaller disk size
by David Gay
Hey nerds,
I've got Fedimg properly registering cloud base images as both HVM and PV. (I also added multithreading to the upload process!) Previously, base images were only available as PV. Now, base images are available in both formats. (Atomic images will never be available in PV, as they require HVM).
Also, as per a previous thread on this list, I've reduced the disk requirement from 12 GB to our minimum, 3 GB.
Attached is a signed text file containing a list of AMIs that were just registered today. I used the official F21 x86_64 base cloud image that we have as the official download on our website. Everything seems to be working for me, but in case I missed something, or if you have something to say, please let me know.
