Hello,
We've been discussing how we could bring back the Fedora Classroom sessions we used to have at the Join SIG[1,2]. There are obviously lots of ideas and some community members are keen to upgrade the system to something more than IRC based instruction sessions too. This requires careful planning, and based on what the goal is, may require more infrastructure etc..
So, while this is being worked on, I thought we'd at least resurrect the classic IRC classrooms and get back to teaching and learning.
I've gone ahead and cleaned up the wiki page a bit[3]. As nirik suggested on one of the tickets, before I discuss publicising the resurrection with Marketing/CommOps, we'd like to have a few classes lined up. I've volunteered for two roles: instructor and instructor recruiter.
I can take one of these to begin with:
- Packaging 101 (walk through the hello world packaging page) - Git 101 - Vim 101
If you'd like to help, please consider volunteering for one of the roles[4], and if you know people that can take sessions, please request them to do so.

I would certainly be interested in attending the Packaging 101.
Did you try to reinstall the JVM Engine

Will it be a classroom or virtual session? Would be beneficial if online.
Regards RM.

Not yet. The idea is to set up a schedule once we have a few class ideas confirmed. It'll all be announced in the right channels, of course - please be patient :) - -- Thanks, Regards, Ankur Sinha "FranciscoD"
