Does Koji set something specific for kernel builds? I am running out of ideas in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1855836 Any idea is welcome.

Added my 2cents... IMHO this is either a bug in pesign or the kernel. They used to be able to transparently sign with a test cert if the real certs are not available and it seems they no longer do. ;(

Right you are! As Justin mentioned in the bz, this was with a build of pesign that had been pushed to rawhide in order to debug part of the kernel build.
It should be working again with pesign-113-10.fc33; if it's not, please let me know.
