My apologies I don't speak enough Portuguese to respond :) I went to Brazil
several years ago and only came away with the basics :) Obrigada!

The Software Freedom Day sponsorship package is based around the excellent
promotion opportunities around the event. We had over 350 teams participate
last year and it is growing every year, and each one of those teams gets to
somewhere between 100 and 1000 attendees and visitors to their events, and
we estimate last year's event saw over 100,000 members of the public
introduced to Open Source and the concepts of software freedom. Basically it
is a truly global event that encompasses every continent (except
Antarctica!) and it is growing with almost 200% growth each year.

Our sponsorship packages are $3000 which helps covers the costs of
supporting the hundreds of teams that participate. We send out shirts,
stickers, balloons, handouts, CDs and information to teams. In return
sponsors receive a logo on the website, recognition in all press releases
and event collateral (including a press release per sponsor), an email
(forwarded by us) to our mailing list of teams to announce you, and a place
on our Advisory Committee, to help SFD as it grows into the future. In-kind
sponsorships we would love include prizes for our competition (the 2007
competition details are here http://softwarefreedomday.org/Competition2007),
assistance in shipping, CD printing, assistance with our team packs and
publicity. Please let me know what you think. Last year we had over 67,307
visitors to our website and we anticipate many more this year.

Looking forward to working with you and further discussing this exciting
opportunity. We would love to get you involved. Information about our
organisation, board and other particulars are all on the website:

Pia
