Sim, esta é uma das opções que o Grub2 lhe fornece, para alterar estas opções adicionando ou eliminando "kerneis" edite este arquivo: /boot/grub2/grub.cfg, referente ao espaço que estes ocupam é extremamente pouco e pode consultar o quanto ocupa verificando o tamanho do diretório /boot, no meu caso, por exemplo:
