If you're new to Beaker and would like to quickly learn essential information necessary to start writing tests you might want to go through the Beaker Quick Start Guide presentation, available from the documentation page at:

As the subtitle says, this is an Introduction to Beaker for the Impatient. Rather than providing the whole picture in detail it presents the (almost) minimal set of steps from setting up your environment, through creating the test itself to scheduling the test and harvesting results. Concise description of BeakerLib is also included. I hope this will be useful for initial diving :-)
