It looks like ":ref:" doesn't like being given a manpage as the target
and fails noisily, while my attempted fix has instead resulted in a
couple of links not rendering correctly (but at least the site builds
again).
In relation to this - perhaps we should build the develop branch with
Sphinx in warning mode?
