Go to System> Preference> Internet and Network> Network Connections. Now if you use a static LAN connection click Add from the Wired Tab. Now go to IPv4 Settings. Change the Method to Manual. Now click Add. Write your IP, Netmask, Gateway and DNS Servers. Then click Apply. Now from the Panel, left click on your network icon and select the newly created connection. This should work. If it doesn´t, let me know, there has another way.

Yes. The Network Configuration> Ethernet Device dialog is buggy. Update your system. It will fix the bug for sure.

I am running Fedora 10 and noticed something pretty odd.

When I go into Network Manager , and try to specify a static IP address, I've ran into a possible bug. Whatever value I add into Subnet Mask, will auto change into the value of Default Gateway Address after I shift focus from that page. (i.e. if I switch tabs from the General tab, and then click right back, my subnet value is replaced with the gateway address.)

Even after I enter in my subnet, hit save, open the Edit button back up, the subnet mask has again taken the gateway address.

when i use fedora 7 i face no problem to configure network but now i cant configure for that problem.

Please give me a solution.

digonto.
