Enable rpm fusion stable release (test release will mess up ur system):
rpm -Uvh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-stable.noarch.rpm http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-stable.noarch.rpm
Now try the kmod-nvidia driver, if its available for ur kernel. If not try the akmod-nvidia. Also install xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs.
Type this commands:
su -
sed -i '/root=/s|$| rdblacklist=nouveau|' /boot/grub/grub.conf
mv /boot/initramfs-$(uname -r).img /boot/initramfs-$(uname -r)-nouveau.img
dracut /boot/initramfs-$(uname -r).img $(uname -r)
Now edit xorg.conf:
gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
and add
Section "ServerFlags"
Option "IgnoreABI" "true"
EndSectionWell, it worked. But problem is now that I can't get back my full resolution. Full resolution was 1280*1024 but now that it's showing that max res is 1024*768. How to fix this up?
If still failed, then sure, its a bug. Just wait 1 more week to release the final version.
I even enabled rawhide repo, n it fucked up my system twice.

I was trying to install nVidia driver in my Fedora Goddard beta. My
graphics card is nVidia geforce 9800GT and 8400SE. Right now I want to
install 8400 SE driver. I've applied "su -c 'yum -y install akmod-nvidia
xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs'" that messed my box and I had to re-install
everything. I'm using KDE. How can I install drivers? The default
drivers doesn't support full 3D.
