Subject: [Ambassadors] [URGENT] We need more release events for Fedora 16
To: Fedora Ambassadors <ambassadors(a)lists.fedoraproject.org>
My fellow ambassadors,
I just looked into the wiki and realized that we don't have enough
release events for Fedora 16 yet:
* APAC: 2
* EMEA: 1
* LATAM: 0
* NA: 0
Come on, we can do better!
If you want to host a Fedora F16 release event, please submit it NOW
because we are already 5 days past the deadline. I think we should
extend the deadline by a week, but on
October, Friday 21st 2011
we really need all release events planned.
If you'd like to host an event, you should
1. create a wiki page. IT should be named
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Release_Party_F15_<your_city>
2. add {{subst:ReleaseParty}} at the top of the page and save it.
3. fill in the details
4. add your page to
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/F15_release_events
Of course we are willing to help you where ever we can. If you need
budget, swag or other marketing material, please let us know.
* Budget: file a ticket at https://fedorahosted.org/famsco/
* Swag: file a ticket for
* APAC at https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-apac/
* India at https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-india/
* EMEA at https://fedorahosted.org/emea-swag-tracking/
* NA at https://fedorahosted.org/famnarequests/
* LATAM at
http://rpmdev.proyectofedora.org/projects/embajadores
* Design stuff: file a ticket at
https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ *and* contact the design
team via their mailing list at
design-team(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
As a thank you for your work FAmSCo will sponsor a dinner for you and
your release event team.
If you have any question, don't hesitate to ask on this list.
Regards,
Christoph

I'm sure hundreds of applications are already sent and hundreds more
are going to be sent by end of day.. Still if you thik you are
competent why not apply to work in the firm which inspired Free
Software (libra) movement?
Yes Free Software Foundation (fsf) is hiring. They are looking for
full-time senior GNU/Linux systems administrator.
If you are GNU/Linux system administrator why not give it a try?
You can find details in the following link..
http://www.fsf.org/news/fsf-seeks-full-time-senior-gnu-linux-systems-admini…
by the way, if you happen to get the job don't forget to throw a party
and be sure to invite me (hey it is me for whom you got the
opportunity right? just kidding).
best of luck guys

The above explanation, proves that - you are human. We all do mistake; but
the thing is that we need to correct ourselves afterwards.

This is a norm of Fedoraproject.org ; whatever happens, the mailing list(s)
must know. I've just followed the practice and believe this is good for the
community.

You have a point. Please, subscribe to the mailing lists; and raise this
issue. Let us discuss and decide.

Dear All,
Mr. Adnan Quaium is editing the Bangladesh page at Fedora project Wiki from
31st May 2011. He have added / deducted content in that page. He moved
(renamed) the page from Bangladesh to Bangladeshi Team and also deleted the
Bangladeshi Ambassador List URL.
I believe, he can help us to uplift the Bangladesh page in Fedora Project
Wiki, we should discuss and help him doing so. That's why I've initiated
this thread.
N.B. Please, reply all and include Mr. Adnan in the CC list; he might not be
subscribed to the lists.
I've posted the following message in his talk page at Fedora Project Wiki.
*Respected Mr. Adnan, *
*Would you mind to discuss before, doing any changes to any of the
fedoraproject.org wiki pages. As you have had edited significantly in the
Bangladesh <https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Bangladesh> page, the other
members of Bangladesh community found it interesting. Moreover, you've moved
the page from Bangladesh to Bangladeshi team without giving a summary, which
is a wiki editing manner. *
*Anyway, we believe you wanted to contribute and edited. Please, subscribe
to the mailing list and let us know your plan for this page. *
*While doing so, please do not edit more. Thanks for understanding.

Dear All,
At F15 I'm facing bad font rendering specially with firefox. I'm using a 17"
CRT. I used F15 beta but I didn't get the problem at the beta. Can anyone
give me a solution?
Thanks
